Cascade County

Public Safety Mill Levy 

The Cascade County Public Safety Levy is determining whether or not to provide additional funding for law enforcement services. The Cascade County’s Sheriff Office and County Attorney’s Office are requesting additional funding of approximately $2.46 million dollars annually. This funding would be used to recruit and retain law enforcement staff, public safety, school safety, and pretrial services. 

A Vote for means:

You support the Cascade County’s Sheriff Office and County Attorney’s Office and think that law enforcement in Cascade County need additional funding. 

A Vote against means:

You do not support the Cascade County’s Sheriff Office and County Attorney’s Office and do not think that law enforcement in Cascade county need additional funding.


Flathead coUNTY

Recreational Marijuana Tax- Resolution 2572

Resolution 2572 is asking if voters in Flathead County think there should be a 3% tax on all recreational marijuana sales in the county. This tax would give 50% of the tax revenue to Flathead County, 45% to specific communities based on population and the final 5% would be retained by the state as a fee.

A vote FOR the 3% tax means that you do think there should be a tax on recreational marijuana sales. 

A vote AGAINST means:

A vote AGAINST the 3% tax means that you do not think there should be a tax on recreational marijuana sales.

Medical Marijuana Tax- Resolution 2573

Resolution 2573 is asking if voters in Flathead County think there should be a 3% tax on all medical marijuana sales in the county. Gallatin County

Rest Home Mill Levy 

The Rest Home Mill Levy would provide continued support to a long-term care facility that provides Medicare and Medicaid covered care in Gallatin County. The Levy would require $3.93 million annually and cover the needs of the facility such as, patient care, staffing, food, supplies, and building maintenance and repairs.

A vote for means:

A vote FOR the Rest Home Mill Levy means that you support the Gallatin County Rest Home’s request for additional funding, and think they should receive the funding.

A vote against means:

A vote AGAINST the Rest Home Mill Levy means you do not support the Gallatin County Rest Home’s request for additional funding, and think they should not receive the funding.


Missoula 

Missoula County Fairgrounds General Obligation Bonds

This is asking Missoula County voters if they approve of the County Commissioners releasing $19 million in bonds that would provide funding for improvements to the County fairgrounds. Improvements would include a new livestock and horse center for youth agricultural education, developing green space, and expanding the ice rink. 

A vote yes means:

A vote YES means that you support releasing the bonds to improve the Missoula County fairgrounds, and think the improvements should be made.

A vote no means:

A vote NO means that you do not support releasing the bonds to improve the Missoula County fairgrounds, and think the improvements should not be made. 

Crisis INTERVENTION Levy

The Crisis Intervention Levy would would fund mental health services, substance use disorders resources, housing support including the temporary safe outdoor space, authorized campsites, and emergency winter shelter, and criminal justice reform programs such as the Mobile Crisis Unit and Crime Victims Advocate Program. This breaks down to an increase in property tax of approximately $28 per $100,000 of assessed home value (NOT market rate)

A vote YES for this levy means that you support the crisis intervention levy, and think that the levy should be funded.

A vote no means:

A vote NO for this levy means that you do not support the crisis intervention levy, and think the levy should not be funded.
