britney picInterns – Spring 2016

Britney Cotton transferred to the University of Montana from Flathead Valley Community College this spring, and she’s incredibly excited to be living in a town with more than 3 options for eating out. She grew up in Columbia Falls, where the most exciting thing happening was the weekly high school basketball games. Britney is studying Sociology with an emphasis in Inequality and Social Justice, and she hopes to continue her study of sociology in a PhD program after graduation from UofM. In what little free time she can scrounge up, she enjoys cooking/baking where she makes a huge mess, watching movies/reading books that make her cry even when they aren’t overly happy or sad, and making elaborate hypothetical future plans and/or schedules that she never uses.

This is the best I could do

Rachel Devine is true Rocky Mountain girl, born in Colorado, raised in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana, and, now, studying nursing at the University of Montana! She hopes to someday specialize in psychiatric or travel nursing, since all the best people are at least slightly off their rockers and traveling is the bee’s knees! In the meantime, she’s enjoying life as a free spirit, and can be found any number of places, including the theatre, coffee shops, yoga studios, animal sanctuaries, local thrift stores, or in front of a computer screen binge-watching Netflix. If you can’t find her, she’s probably on an airplane to some foreign country because she got a great deal on Expedia! She loves the laid-back vibe Missoula has and she’s excited about getting people here stoked about democracy!

Melissa Perrone, who is almost exclusively known as Mel, was born and raised in Kalispell, MT.  After taking a three year break from her studies, she comes back with a vengeance as an Organizational Communications major. She is an extremely great multi-tasker, working two jobs as a full time student, she likes to stay busy and get things done. As soon as she is able, she wants to travel the world and live in several different places in the states. While Montana will always have a place in her heart, sunny weather and beaches are calling her name.
