Jen Gursky, President

Nothing gets Jen more excited than democracy…and pad thai.  Born in Missoua, raised in Polson, Jen is deeply rooted in Montana.  As former student President at the University of Montana and former House Representative from Missoula, Jen shares Forward Montana’s commitment to mobilizing young people in the political process, and jumped at the chance to join the board. She currently lives in Helena, MT with her husband, Chris, and adorable hound dog, Lucy.  She also wants you to know that it is always ok to donate bucko bucks to FMT.  She won’t stop you.

Jess Grennan, Vice President

Jessica Grennan is the National Advocacy and Political Affairs Director at Compassion & Choices. Jessica has over 15 years working in public service leadership positions. Jessica is a former White House internCfZLNgVVIAEIlow where she specialized in working with the disabilities community. She went on to serve as a Health Alliance Director at the American Heart Association in Montana. She was a staff member on Montana’s senior U.S. Senator Jon Tester’s 2006 primary election. She is a fierce advocate for civil liberties, women’s health, voting rights and Montana.

Chase Mohney

Born and raised in Great Falls, Chase works for Facebook in Oakland, CA. Though he is currently an expat, Chase finds as many occasions as possible to get back to Montana to ski, fish, or just enjoy the uninterrupted vistas he misses while living in San Francisco. He first got involved with Forward Montana because of his commitment to helping ensure a prosperous and just future for the state that will always be his home.

Pari Kemmick

Pari was born and raised in Billings, Montana and has lived in Missoula on unnamed-1and off for the last five years taking time off to bike across the United States and then to bike from Mexico to Panama. Now settled in Missoula for a while, Pari can be found working at a local bike shop when she isn’t out on the trails or working campaigns. She is passionate about all things social equality, environmental justice and badass people coming together to change the world.

Bryan got his start in Montana politics working for Senator Max Baucus. Although he was born and raised in Wyoming (and now lives in Washington, DC), Bryan has been self-bestowed honorary Montanan status. Bryan enjoys sipping Montana beers, baking confectionery delicacies and getting young people involved in political domination.

A fourth generation Westerner, Clayton grew up in in the sagebrush country of Wyoming and has been living in western Montana since 2010. He has a deep passion for the vast, sprawling and wild country that defines our Montana way of life. Throughout his career, Clayton has been active in political and issue campaigns – knocking on doors, making phone calls, and helping raise money for candidates and causes that share his progressive vision of the American West. Now a resident of Missoula, you can find him using every spare moment to chasing rising fish on the oars of his drift boat.

BrennaBrenna Mae Davis

Brenna Mae Davis was born and raised in the majestic valley of Missoula, Montana where the streets are paved with maroon and silver. Forever a valley girl, she set off to change the world at the ripe ‘ol age of 18 in valleys of Medina County, Ohio. Returning to Montana, Brenna attended Montana State University, then the University of Montana after coming to her senses. Currently working in her fifth election cycle; loud music, craft brews, dancing like her mom, and looking forward to the gnar pow in November get her through the long, Montana summer days. She hopes to continue advocating for all Montanan’s, and leaving it a better place for her niblets (niece and nephew).

AnnaAnna Lucas

Anna started dabbling in Montana politics since 2006 and has been hooked ever since. For her day job she tries to get good progressives elected to office in the West. In her spare time you can find her biking around looking for good coffee and craft IPAs. And listening to NPR. Sometimes all at the same time. She’s a graduate from the University of Maryland (go Terps!) and a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer.

ShannonShannon Nielson Lewis, Treasurer

Shannon was born and raised in Laramie, WY.  She moved to Big Sky Country in 2005 and cut her teeth in politics as a super volunteer for a farmer from Big Sandy while living in Laurel, MT.  In 2011, she had the privilege of working for that farmer, turned Senator as a regional director in Helena.  She is excited for the opportunity to work with the awesome Forward Montana staff and help mobilize young people to vote and engage in the political process.  She is a strong believer in active participation to shape policy.

As a native son of Montana, Andy was born in Butte and raised in Kalispell. With a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Montana in Missoula, Andy currently resides in Helena. He has worked on various political campaigns from a county commissioner race, a state senate race in Billings and two successful gubernatorial races, and a presidential race. He has also worked and volunteered across the state with Montanans from all walks of life, on issues that range from public access, voter rights, health care reform and public education. As a community organizer, he was once escorted off a college campus by the police for registering voters #StreetCred. In early 2013, he was appointed by Governor Steve Bullock as the Small Business Advocate for the Montana Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
